Phisphing Sites

Phishing websites are malicious activity. Over 40,000 phishing websites were found out in 2007. These sites have similar appearance as the authentic site. They contain same databases to login the site. When you try to login the phishing site then you lose your privacy.
Normally phishing site exists 24 to 48 hours. Even these sites are not updated in their backlist. Backlist is a database which contains the identifications of a phishing site. Once a phishing site is detected they are stored in the backlist. In future these backlists are used to find phishing site dynamically. Client side plug-in are used to detect phishing site by communicating with the server where the database is stored.
When innocent browser uses the net and enters the phishing site, then the private information he give in the phishing site taken to steal their properties. When credit card number is given in the site, the number will be used to debit your money. Normally these site are activated for few hours and it is difficult to find these site.
But the students in SSN, India are writing an algorithm to find the phishing site dynamically without using database. This method is effective, less time consuming and easy to handle. They are determining to create a plug-in for Google chrome.
